SUMMARY:Create Vibrant Autumn Trees using Alcohol Ink Pens with Millie Moth Art

You’ll use it sparingly—dripping a few drops onto your artwork and occasionally spraying a fine mist over the surface. Some people notice the smell (though I’m completely used to it now!)\, and I’ll do my best to keep the room well ventilated if needed.\n\nThere’s also a bit of gentle blowing through a straw involved\, just something to keep in mind if you’re prone to breathlessness or light-headedness. If that sounds tricky\, I can provide a small hand-pump blower as an alternative.\nWhile this technique generally isn’t messy\, alcohol inks can stain clothing. They’re not harmful if they get on your skin—I’ve had more than my fair share of inky fingers over the years!\n\n\n\nThis Workshop Is Perfect For\n\nComplete beginners\nAdults only\nAnyone who loves colour\, nature and expressive art\nPeople wanting to try a new medium in a friendly\, supportive space\nThose looking for a mindful\, calming creative morning\n\nIf you can hold a pen and enjoy experimenting\, you’ll be right at home. SUMMARY:Make Your Own Festive Stained Glass Sun Catcher
DESCRIPTION:The Workshop\nChristmas is fast approaching\, so why not Make Your Own Festive Stained Glass Sun Catcher to brighten your home or give as a beautiful handmade gift? \nJoin tutor Jennifer for this inspiring one-day workshop where you will learn how to create one or two festive stained glass sun catchers using the copper foil technique. \nJennifer will introduce you to the tools used to score and cut glass and will demonstrate how to break glass safely. You will then practise cutting techniques using standard float glass so you can build confidence before starting your own design. \nOnce you feel ready\, choose from a range of festive templates and begin creating your sun catcher using colourful art glass. You will cut your pieces\, grind the edges smooth\, and then wrap them in copper foil ready for assembly. \nAfter lunch\, Jennifer will guide you through the soldering process as you join your glass pieces together to form your finished sun catcher. If time allows\, you may even create a second design. \nBy the end of the day\, you will have learned the essential skills of the Tiffany copper foil method and will take home your own beautiful festive stained glass sun catcher to display and enjoy. \nWhat to bring on the day?\nAnticipation to enjoy the whole experience! \nSpecific to this workshop: \n\nWhen glass is being cut small fragments are inevitable: For your safety you must wear shoes that totally cover your feet: no sandals\, flip flops or opened toed shoes to be worn.\nIf you have a know allergy to plasters please bring some that you know you can use. Even professional glass cutters can sometimes end up with small glass cuts.\nA closed lidded coffee mug or spouted water bottle. Open vessels cannot be used whilst working with glass.\nReading glasses if you need them.\nPlease bring your own lunch or some money to buy something from either the hot-food hut nearby or the small local Asda.\n\nWhat skills Do I Need?\n\nNo prior experience needed. Jennifer will teach you all you need to know.\nAlthough cutting glass sounds ‘tricky’ it is actually quite a simple\, gentle thing once you know the technique. Don’t be scared about the thought of it. If you can hold a pencil you can hold the cutting tool.\nYou will need to concentrate but every element is fun and engrossing.\nUsing a soldering iron can be a bit daunting to start with but Jennifer will be on hand to give you specific techniques that will keep you safe and comfortable.\n\nHow many places are available?\nTo ensure the quality of your personal experience\, we limit the group to 6. Don’t miss out – book today! \nWhat are the timings?\nThis is a full-day exciting\, engrossing course\, from 10am to 4pm. Your day will fly by\, as you learn the skills required. \nOur purple front door will be open from 9.30am so we can welcome you in\, you can get to meet Jennifer and your fellow crafters and grab a cuppa before you start. \nWhat is the cost?\n£85 + £1.55 card fee.
