This friendly session is designed to give you the chance to learn directly from an expert in a calm\, supportive and enjoyable environment. Come and have a go at Rag Rugs. \nRag Rugging is a traditional British craft which became very popular during the Victorian era with a resurgence during WW2. Using hessian sacking\, leftover fabric and old clothing people made soft rugs very inexpensively\, making the homes more cosy. It is very eco friendly as it utilises leftover fabric and clothing which may otherwise have gone to waste. \n.During the three-hour afternoon workshop\, you’ll be gently guided through new techniques\, helping you to build confidence\, develop new skills and enhance your crafting abilities\, all at a comfortable\, unhurried pace and under the watchful eye of your expert tutor.
