Glass Fusion EggsMulti Coloured Glass Fusion Egg

Come and join local artist, Dawn Turner for a creative afternoon learning the beautiful craft of fused glass on this themed session – Easter eggs, but without the calories!

No cutting is required, and the session is suitable for complete beginners. Dawn will demonstrate and guide you through the techniques you need, and you will have access to a vast array of colourful accessory glass – Dawn doesn’t teach to a specific design, rather she gives you the tools you need to design and decorate your own unique glass art.

Dawn believes everybody deserves a chance to enjoy getting creative, and loves to share her passion for glass – her workshops are very popular, with people returning time and again to enjoy this wonderful medium.  Many people say how mindful and relaxing it is; learn something new, experiment, have fun and create something beautiful. To make sure everyone gets plenty of time with Dawn, this workshop is limited to only 10 participants.

The work you create on the afternoon will need to be taken away and fired in one of the specialist glass kilns at Dawn’s studio – they will be ready for collection no more than two weeks after the class, in time for Easter.

  • It is essential that you wear closed shoes please, i.e. no sandals or flip-flops – you will be working with small pieces of glass called frit.
  • Glass will always be sharp and even if you are taking the utmost care sometimes you may get a small cut on your hand/fingers. If you have an allergy to normal plasters please will you bring your own.
  • Bring reading glasses if you need them.

No tools or equipment are required, just bring yourselves, and your enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund and all the players of the Lottery, and to our amazing volunteers, who make all of this possible. Together, we’re creating a safe, caring and creative space for everyone.
