A joyful, festive 3‑hour session with Karen Johnson (Millie Moth) creating beautiful seasonal artwork using vibrant alcohol inks … with an optional add‑on to turn your finished design into a set of professionally printed Christmas cards.
Come and enjoy a relaxed, artful morning creating your own winter picture using flowing alcohol inks, bold backgrounds, and rich foliage inspired by holly, poinsettias, and anything else your imagination fancies.
You’ll create one or more unique artworks to take home … ready to frame or to turn into a special handmade Christmas card for someone you love.
What You’ll Do
- Create festive alcohol ink artwork using pens and splashes of alcohol
- Explore winter foliage designs inspired by holly and poinsettias
- Experiment with colour flow on yupo paper
- Produce frame‑ready artwork to take home
- Optionally turn your design into printed cards:
If you’d like to take things a step further, you can choose to have your artwork photographed and turned into a set of beautifully printed festive cards … the same quality as Millie Moth’s own.
Cards are: • 150mm square • Printed on thick, subtly textured FSC‑certified card • Supplied with kraft envelopes • Customisable with your own text or photos
Karen will photograph and design your card layout on the day. Your printed cards and original artwork will arrive by post late November / early December.

- Additional packs of 6: £10
No pressure at all — the workshop is a complete creative experience with or without the printing option.

Workshop Details
- Date: 3rd November
- Time: 1pm – 4pm
- Arrival: From 12:30pm for a warm welcome and a cuppa
- Group size: Limited to 10 people for a cosy atmosphere
Materials & Safety Notes
This workshop is for adults only, and places are limited.
We’ll be using 91% isopropyl alcohol sparingly — dripping small amounts or misting lightly. Some people notice the smell, and Karen will ventilate the room as needed.
There’s a little gentle blowing through a straw involved. If that’s tricky, Karen can provide a small hand‑pump blower instead.
Alcohol inks can stain clothing. They’re not harmful on skin, but an apron or old top is recommended.
Cost
£40 plus 86p card fee … Includes all materials and refreshments (excluding lunch).
