The Workshop
Your tutor, Helen, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “Using pre-cut traditional lino and water-based inks, come and have a go at printing a range of colour prints in a variety of ways. You’ll also have the opportunity to cut your own small design into lino to print onto cards.
You will create a collection of beautiful colourful prints and cards to take away and frame or to impress your friends and family with your new skills.
If you’ve got some gel prints that you’ve made at a previous workshop, you could print onto those as they make great backgrounds for lino-prints.
What is the cost?
£38.50 + 84p card fee. This includes all the materials needed to make your lino printed cards and refreshments during the morning (excluding lunch)
How many places are available?
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size is limited to 8.
What are the timings?
This is a relaxed session running from 10am to 12.30pm.
Our purple front door will be open from 9.30am so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Helen and your fellow crafters and grab a cuppa before you start.
What skills are needed?
No experience is necessary. If you fancy cutting lino yourself, you will need to have fair grip strength, to hold onto the cutter tool and apply pressure to the lino to make your cuts.
What to bring on the day?
Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!
Specific to this workshop:
- If you have time beforehand you might like to draw a 5-inch simple design that you want to create as a lino print.
- If you have your own lino cutters, but haven’t tried using them yet, please bring them along. Helen will show you how!
- Reading glasses if you need them.
We will be providing drinks and home-made biscuits throughout the morning.
We want you to go home with a spring in your step and feel really good about what you have achieved. To make sure we can thoroughly look after you during your workshop please fill in your booking form with all the things that will help, be it your favourite milk, or any extra support you may require. Please also let us know of allergies that we may need to highlight to your fellow crafters e.g. nuts, perfume. Many thanks.
