Hello my name is Faye and I am a mixed media artist and teacher.

I am passionate about colour and texture, and I like to explore and mix up different art mediums and techniques to create my artwork. I especially love to gel print and I’m always surprised by the many ways that a gel plate can be used to create prints full of beautiful marks and patterns. It is a very simple but effective technique to produce exciting mono prints that can be used as ‘fodder’ for collages, card making and scrapbooking for example. Gel printing is also very addictive, be warned!

I find inspiration from the natural world, especially in the beautiful countryside of the Peak District where I visit often with my three teenage children. I take a lot of photographs and use them in my studio to create landscape collages and mixed media pieces.
