Hi, I am Melinda, founder of Handmade by Melinda. I have been teaching various crafts in the Nottingham area for over 10 years to a variety of groups and individuals in local communities. As well as this I also make and sell bags.

I teach crochet, knitting, embroidery, patchwork, and needle felting but my passion is for sewing especially dressmaking and bag making. When I am not teaching, I can usually be found doing a bit of dressmaking for myself.

When I am teaching, I always find it fascinating to see how, given the same project to work on, everyone will make something which looks so different and individual depending on the fabrics and colours used reflecting each person and their creativity.

I find it really rewarding to be able to share my skills with others and to see the impact it has upon them giving them confidence and a sense of achievement in their completed projects.
