Join Our ‘Make Your Own Beautiful Felt Fairy’ Workshop
Your tutor, Angela, is looking forward to welcoming you to two wonderfully creative, festive evenings where you’ll make your own beautiful felt fairy. Across these sessions, you’ll explore wet felting and needle felting to create her flowing skirt, sculpt her body, and bring her personality to life with hair, face and optional wings or legs. Angela’s warm, engaging teaching style will support you through every stage.
What You’ll Create
• A characterful handmade felt fairy designed in your chosen colours

• A needle‑felted body, head and features
• Optional wings, legs and personalised details
You Will Explore
• Wet felting techniques for creating soft, textured fabric
• Needle felting for sculpting shapes and adding detail
• How to combine both methods to form a complete figure
• Colour choices and creative design decisions
• Joining and assembling your fairy securely
This Workshop Is Perfect For
• Beginners or more experienced crafters
• Anyone who enjoys gentle, hands‑on creativity
No experience is needed. If you can hold a needle or roll wool with light pressure, you’ll be absolutely fine … Angela will guide you step by step. Due to the process and sharpness of the felt needle there is a small possibility of pricking your finger with the tip; this is an occupational hazard for anyone who engages in this activity! There are wooden handles available for the needle, if it makes it easier for you to hold. The wet felting process involves some repetitive rolling, which may make your arms ache a little.

You’ll leave with a beautiful felt fairy, full of character, colour and personality … she can either sit on top of your Christmas Tree or be a stand alone decoration … she may even adorn your house throughout the year!
What to Bring
- Reading glasses if needed
- An evening snack if you are missing out on your tea – we can supply a plate and cutlery
- Your own plasters, if you have an allergy to normal ones
Most importantly, bring your curiosity and enjoy the process.
Workshop Details
• Dates: Tuesday 10th November & Tuesday 24th November
• Times: 6pm – 9pm
• Duration: Two relaxed, creative evenings
• Group Size: A maximum of 8 people so you get individual tuition and a calm environment
Cost
£53 + £1.06p card fee. This includes all the materials needed to create your felt fairy and refreshments during both evenings.
