offering crafts for all

My name is Pippa.G. and I’ve been a creative person throughout my life. Making and designing things in my workshop is my happy place! I create 2D art, such as paintings and drawings. I design and make 3D art using jewellery skills – and occasionally sugar paste. I enjoy designing things that are a bit quirky and sometimes I am surprised where the design takes me! My favourite designs are the ones that tell a story, and jewellery can be a wonderful way of doing this.
I enjoy working and connecting with people, sharing ideas and inspiration in my workshops. Creating, connecting and learning are all great for our own wellbeing and mental health. I find it very rewarding when I can share my skills with others and observe them experiencing the satisfaction and joy of learning new skills. I’m a qualified and experienced adult education tutor, and I always endeavour to make my workshops fun, relaxing and supportive.
I specialise in designing and making jewellery using recycled sterling silver and alternative metals such as copper and stainless steel, both of which are recyclable. I trained with Nottingham Jewellery School, and I continue to dip into their training now and then to keep my skills fresh. I am currently exploring ways of reusing and redesigning vintage and preloved costume jewellery – which is great fun and also good for the planet.
When I am not designing and making jewellery, I also love to draw and paint. Portraits and pictures that tell stories are the subjects I most enjoying creating. I use graphite, mixed media, watercolour and non-plastic acrylics. I also use mixed materials in collage, including papers, fabric and found items – and even preloved jewellery!
