Join Our Copper Wire Rings Making Workshop 

Your tutor, Pippa, is looking forward to welcoming you and sharing a fun, hands-on morning of jewellery making where you’ll design and create your own beautiful copper wire rings from scratch.

In this relaxed and supportive workshop, you’ll learn the skills to shape, texture and finish your rings, while also exploring creative design ideas you can continue developing at home.

What You’ll Do

• Design and make at least two copper wire rings in different styles
• Learn how to shape wire into wearable ring designs
• Add decorative elements such as beads and wrapped wire details
• Experiment with different textures and finishes
• Create rings that can be polished shiny or left with a rustic handmade look

You Will Explore

• How to develop a strong design idea (even if you don’t think you’re “creative”)
• Ring sizing and shaping using a mandrel
• Using pliers, hammers and tools safely and confidently
• How to texture copper using specialist jewellery hammers
• Wire wrapping techniques (optional and adaptable)
• Filing, sanding and polishing your rings for a professional finish
• Simple design “hacks” so you can keep making new variations at home

This Workshop is Perfect for

• Complete beginners. No experience is needed. However, some wire wrapping can be a little fiddly, so you can easily adapt your design to suit what feels comfortable for you.
• People who enjoy practical, hands-on making
• Anyone who loves jewellery, design and learning new skills
• Those wanting a creative confidence boost
• Makers with some experience who want to improve technique

Pippa will guide you through each step, offering demonstrations, encouragement and plenty of one-to-one help.

• All copper wire and materials needed to make your rings
• Use of jewellery tools including mandrels, hammers, pliers and files
• Optional decorative materials such as beads
• Expert tuition and design guidance throughout
• Refreshments during the morning

You’ll leave with at least two handmade copper wire rings, created by you in your own chosen designs.

Workshop Details

• Time: 10am – 12pm
• Arrival: From 9:30am for a warm welcome and a cuppa
• Group size: Limited to 8 people for a friendly, supportive atmosphere

Cost

£29.25 + 70p card fee.
This includes all the materials needed to create your copper wire rings, use of tools, and refreshments during the morning.

Because the group is small, you’ll also get plenty of individual support, and you’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace.
