We’re welcoming the summer with a packed month of creative workshops here at Our Crafty Place! Whether you’re a seasoned maker or curious to try something new, there’s something for everyone this June. From relaxing Craft & Chat evenings to full-day courses in felting, printing, stitching, and more.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up:
Craft & Chat Evening
Tuesday 4th June, 6:00–8:00pm | £5 cash on the door or £5.33 online (includes card fee)
Bring along your current project — knitting, crochet, embroidery, sketching, or anything you fancy — and enjoy a relaxed evening in friendly company.

Wet Felt Pot
Friday 6th June, 9:30am–5pm | £106.85 (including card fee)
Try a playful new felting method with Rachel to create a stunning 3D felt pot using a bouncing ball technique. Ideal for beginners and those with some felting experience. All materials and inspiration provided – get ready to bounce!
Gel Printing
Thursday 12th June, 10am–4pm | £73.35 (including card fee)
Join tutor Faye for a full day of creative fun exploring gel plate printing. Learn the basics in the morning and use your handmade prints to create cards and a doodle book in the afternoon. All materials included – just bring your curiosity!
Book / Paper Folding – Flowers
Wednesday 18th June, 10am–1pm | £38.32 (including card fee)
Make three beautiful paper flowers with Alyson using book pages and craft papers. A lighthearted morning workshop for beginners – no experience needed, everything’s provided.
Book Folding – Paper Hedgehog
Wednesday 18th June, 2pm–3:30pm | £22.59 (including card fee)
Fold your very own prickly paper friend in this relaxing workshop with Alyson. A fun, eco-friendly project that makes a great gift or unique decoration.
Embroidery Bobbin Roll Wrap

Back by popular demand! Spend the day with Julie slow stitching a unique fabric wrap from vintage and recycled materials. Create a themed piece and decorate it with your choice of quotes and embellishments.
Stained Glass Sun Catcher
Wednesday 25th June, 10am–4pm | £86.55 (including card fee)
Begin your stained glass journey with Jennifer using the copper foil (Tiffany) method. Make 1–2 sun catchers and take them home at the end of the day. No prior experience needed – just come and shine!
Glass on the Go!
Thursday 26th June, 1:30pm–4pm | £45.94 (including card fee)
Join Dawn for an uplifting afternoon of glass fusing – no cutting required! Make a postcard, tea-light holder, or mini wave from colourful accessory glass. Fired pieces will be returned to collect.
Boro/Sashiko Kinchaku Bag
Friday 27th June, 10am–4pm | £76.40 (including card fee)
Make a gorgeous hand-stitched Japanese-style drawstring bag with Julie using boro and sashiko techniques. Templates, fabric, and all materials provided – stitch at your own pace in this gentle, mindful workshop.
Linoprinting Day
Saturday 28th June, 10am–4pm | £66.24 (including card fee)
Discover the joy of linoprinting in this relaxing and beginner-friendly workshop with Marcus. Carve your own design and print a set of striking lino prints to take home – plus your reusable carved plate.
