Come and join Viv and Fay for a relaxed and friendly creative session where you’ll have the chance to try your hand at cork art using a variety of materials. This is a gentle, three-hour afternoon designed to help you slow down, switch off from everyday stresses and fully immerse yourself in the joy of making.

You’ll enjoy a calm, supportive atmosphere focused on social connection, mindfulness and creativity, where there’s no pressure to be perfect … just plenty of encouragement, laughter and time to explore something new. Whether you’re completely new to crafting or simply fancy trying a different technique, this session is all about learning, experimenting and having fun together.

By the end of the afternoon, you’ll not only have new skills and something handmade to be proud of, but also a sense of calm, achievement and connection with others. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself and your enthusiasm to create. 💜✨

You will be making a small picture using corks … you can keep the corks whole for a 3D effect, or slice them in half for a lighter effect. There is not time to colour the corks and so your picture will be created using the natural colour of corks. NB: we will have some corks cut in half for you to use but you can also have the opportunity to cut your own using a bread knife. We will also be using hot glue guns … they both require care and safety.

A huge thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund and all the players of the Lottery, and to our amazing volunteers, who make all of this possible. Together, we’re creating a safe, caring and creative space for everyone.
