The Workshop

Your tutor, Julie, is looking forward to meeting you and supporting you at this delightful craft workshop and says “Using Vintage fabrics, Linen, Lace, Buttons and Embroidery Stitches come and make a framed picture, if you have any little treasures you would like to add please bring them along.”.

Join us for a lovely afternoon of crafting, where you’ll create beautiful picture frames using vintage materials. Each frame is perfect as a thoughtful gift for someone special in your life, or to keep as a treasured memory for yourself.

Alongside the making, enjoy tea, cake and scones, adding to the relaxed, vintage feel and making the afternoon a truly special experience.

What to bring?

Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!

Specific to this workshop:

  • Pieces of fabric or little treasures that hold special memories … if you would like to include them in your picture.
  • Reading glasses if you need them.

What skills are needed?

No experience is necessary. Julie will guide you through how to use the materials available and show you the basic stitches you can use. This activity uses a needle and embroidery threads.

What are the timings?

This is a relaxed afternoon running from 1pm to 4.30pm.

Our purple front door will be open from 12.30pm so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Julie and your fellow crafters and grab a cuppa before you start.

How many places are available?

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size is limited to 8.

What is the cost?

£40 + 86p card fee. This includes all the materials needed to make your gorgeous slow stitched picture and your crafternoon tea.

We want you to go home with a spring in your step and feel really good about what you have achieved. To make sure we can thoroughly look after you during your workshop please fill in your booking form with all the things that will help, be it your favourite milk, or any extra support you may require. Please also let us know of allergies that we may need to highlight to your fellow crafters e.g. nuts, perfume. Many thanks.
